New updated app is awful. When I the paper, everytime I go back to thepaper it tries to connect online so if there is a poor signal it just freezes. What's the point of ing the days edition if it is checking for updates an the time? It takes a few seconds to moves from one article to the next, like it is doing some calculation, previous app version was much quicker

Works well however after a recent upgrade the search function seems to have disappeared. It was very handle for a name or topic search especially in the larger editions.

woeful experience - this is a disgrace as an app, it is half integrated with the website, and there is no way of actually saving, IN THE APP, articles etc to read later. Developers need to look at the Times of London app to see how it's supposed to work... and that is not a great app in itself, just 500 times better than SMH [pun not intended]

Dark mode, dark mode dark mode. It can't be that hard, folks. Good news outlet but jeez, the app is lacking. Swiping pictures in gallery format does not work, instead brings up the next article.

The app generally works well, but the fact I can't select what I receive notifications about is ridiculous. For example, I don't care about anything to do with sports but I keep getting notifications about sports. Implement the ability to select what topics we receive notifications about. Edit: I've cancelled my subscription. It feels well past the time frame you gave and should've been implemented from the start. Topic based notification settings seems like a basic thing for a news app.

This app is good in theory but useless in its delivery. There are 2 major issues: 1. There is no way to customise notifications. I have received no less than 6 notifications in a 5 hour period, most for topics that have zero interest to me. 2. Comments! Comments are a feature for subscribers only and we are unable to read or add to them in the app. I'll be going back to the website which is perfectly functional on a mobile device and does not have these issues. Uninstalled.

I have to the general android consensus, this app is rubbish. Why? It lacks content. Half the web articles are missing. Sestions are missing. Cannot get to the quizzes, crosswords, Sudoku or target word. I am a subscriber. I sent an email to android@ and got basically an advert back. Bring back the old Android app! It was much better.

The My News function needs work. It currently only takes you to the Top articles in each section, which often don't reflect my interest and are not regularly updated. Eg the Culture articles have not changed for a week, despite abundant new content if one digs deeper. Please let us choose which specific sections we want in My News, not just the algorithmically determined 'Top'.
