They sell as and even have in the manual that you can get RGB, HEX, CIE etc values...and you could...until they updated the app and removed it. It's beyond planned obsolescence, it's called Bait and Switch. Congrats Variableinc, you are now criminals. Oh, and they removed the ability to export to Adobe... Get yourself a SparkFun Thing Plus - ESP32-S3 $19.95, STEMMA QT AS7341 COLOR SENSOR from Adafruit, and a lipo with jst connector (couple bucks), Zio Qwiic OLED Display and do it better 4 less

I just bought the scan device (not even Color Muse) and ed the Color Muse app. So far I'm impressed. Updated to ☆☆☆☆☆. Color Muse suggested a color for a wall that was painted many, many years ago. I had the paint mixed by another supplier and after painting the walls and ceilings, it's nearly impossible to see the transition. Nearly perfect match.

Terrible App : no way to delete more than one sample at a time, no way to combine same samples, scan button is in a pop up menu instead of being on the first screen. No way to compare two colors in a pallet or from scan history. Creating pallets is not intuitive and they dont automatically sync with the . Cant look at details of color without going into another screen and clicking 'view' button. App constantly disconnects. History is bugged , when I delete a sample, 50 more show up.

One of the least functional, counter-intuitive apps I have ever used. Please get someone to help with your UI. The palette idea is nice, but doesn't work. If you could scan a couple of colours into a palette and have it suggest complementary colours, that would be exceptionally useful. The Dulux colour match should be useful too, only currently the app gives you too many Dulux results per scan, and these have numbers rather than paint names, making sorting through them arduous to impossible.

Terrible. You are better off just taking a pick of the paint and go to local store to find a close match. Nothing matches, for example I held device to wall five times and got five different paint recommendations. Tried on another wall and same result. What is the point of this thing if it just guesses and you have to guess what one of the 5 is closest. I can do that myself, just guess. This is just a gimmick to sell and products (furniture & other stuff) not to help find right paint. And you need an email to sign up ( share or sell your info and email).

Android app has significant limitations, poorly designed. Cannot seem to be able to search for colors by name or product code, can only rename palette if it is empty, and cannot save color into existing palette. It has great potential, but needs a lot of work to be useful. To be fair, it may work better on older versions of Android (I am running Android 9 pie).

Does a pretty good job. Unfortunately renaming folders is a PITA. The app will repeatedly kick you off your keyboard as you try to type in a name. This can happen at least 3 times in a row. Also, would like to be able to bulk delete folders instead of having to go in and individually delete them. I would like to be able to creat a main folder with sub folders of colors within. For example: I would have a main folder for House A that has all the rooms within individual sub folders. Thanks!

This app allowed me to get a near-perfect color match for repainting my walls. Sunlight can fade paint over time, so I needed to scan my walls in several different places, then pick the color that came up more often. The tool is generally very accurate, especially if you can narrow down the search results by manufacturer. Click the Filter icon and choose the manufacturer(s). In my case, I knew the paint had come from either Sherman Williams or Benjamin Moore. The app provided me with a few color names that I then went to the paint store with. The interface on this app is not the most intuitive, but after working with the app for a little while, it became easier. Still, it is much too tedious, and it can benefit from some significant improvements. Some suggestions: 1. Do not make the scan history an infinitely-scrolling loop. Stop the scroll when I get to the oldest scan. 2. Creating color palettes and saving colors to them is much too tedious. 3. The current version of the app requires me to create an and , before I can begin using the app. An older version of this app did not. 4. Syncing of my scans and color palettes to the online cloud does not work consistently.
